Mainland Sawmill
On Canada's west coast, our Mainland Sawmill has earned the reputation as a preferred custom cutting facility. For decades Mainland has been providing premium custom cutting services to a large and exacting customer base. They bring their high valued, high-grade logs to Mainland because they know our precision manufacturing will provide the best possible utilization of each log.
We include our customers through every process. They appreciate working alongside the most experienced manufacturing specialists in the industry and get advice on how to obtain the optimum return from their logs. They are also given the option to determine how the log should be cut and they recognize the value of Mainland's flexibility and ability to change specifications 'on the fly'.
Quality, accuracy and precision are the key focuses at the mill. Every machine is designed and built to provide exact sizes and every piece is manually inspected to ensure exact tolerances. Products are graded many times throughout the process including a grading station featuring a unique non-marking turning system that permits four-face grading of all pieces. The sorting and tallying area features 65,000 square feet of well lit covered area allowing for up to sixty timber sorts and access for customers at anytime throughout the processing of their order. Quality, accuracy and precision are the key focus at the mill. Every machine is computerized to ensure that size is true but the final check is still made manually.
